Meeting your driverAt Melbourne Airport, Avalon and Essendon Fields.

• Book with your flight number. We follow the flight and move the pickup with it, early or late, so you do not need to call us.
• Once a chauffeur is assigned, we send you their name: by text to an Australian mobile, or otherwise by email.
• Booking with an overseas number? We cannot text it, so your details come by email, and the chauffeur calls that number on the day.
• The first 60 minutes of waiting at the airport are included in your price.

With meet and greet

Your chauffeur waits inside the terminal at the arrivals barrier with your name, and takes your bags from there. It is an extra, and its charge shows before you confirm.

Without it

Once your flight lands, your chauffeur texts you where to meet. With an overseas number, they call you instead.

Melbourne Airport asks travellers not to accept rides from drivers who approach them unasked. Your chauffeur is the one whose name we sent you.

The airport says pre-arranged chauffeur and hire cars meet passengers at the chauffeur and hire car meeting points inside the airport, at any of its terminals. On 6 October 2026 it moved the public pick-up area for Terminals 1, 2 and 3 to the new T123 Transport Hub; Terminal 4 is unchanged. Layouts may change again, so check the airport’s pick-up page before you travel, and follow your chauffeur’s text on the day.

Avalon has a single terminal, with a two-minute pick-up and drop-off zone close to it. Avalon charges commercial vehicles an access fee to collect passengers; like every airport fee, it is already inside your Uplex price. Avalon is on the Geelong side of Port Phillip, so it suits trips to Geelong and the Bellarine.

Avalon Airport to Melbourne CBD

Essendon Fields handles charter, private and regional flights. Regional flights use the main terminal at 72 Hargrave Avenue, Essendon Fields. Pickup is at the kerb, or add meet and greet. Arriving on a private or charter flight? Say so in the booking notes, with your operator, so your chauffeur meets you in the right place.

A late or early flight needs nothing from you: the pickup follows it. Anything else, write to hey@uplex.com.au, quoting the code from your confirmation. A person replies to every email.
